Implementation a novel control-protective scheme on laboratorial HVDC system to distinguish between transient and steady state faults D. Habibinia, A. Shoulaie and R. Ghandehari Abstract The nature of HVDC system faults respect to their transient or steady state behavior mainly depends on two main parameters. The first is location of the fault, and the other is the condition which causes to fault occur. This paper mainly reviews transient and steady state faults in HVDC system and control system response due to these faults. Our new control-protective method has some settings that permits operator to change HVDC system response with varying these settings. With using this method, HVDC system may have different responses when a fault occurs. Then we can select one, which is more proper than other. All simulations are performed in MATLAB-SIMULINK. Experimental studies are done on our laboratorial system, 500 Volts and 20 Ampere HVDC system. which constructed in S. H. L in IUST of IRAN. |
