 Cooperation with a French University

The Office of Scientific and International cooperation of IUST hosted a French Professor in May 30- June 3, 2007.

Professor Abder Koukam, head of the Transportation System Laboratory and the vice-president of scientific council of the University of Befort Montbeliard in France, was invited by the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation following the scientific cooperation between the College of Computer Engineering with his laboratory.

 During this visit Prof. Koukam met with the Dean and some of the faculty members of the College of Automotive Engineering, Railway Engineering, Electrical Engineering and visited the laboratories in these colleges and discussed the ways of cooperation.

Also, in the first day of Prof. Koukam's program he and the scientific Atache of the French Embassy in Tehran visited the E-learning center of IUST.

During Several sessions with the Dean and faculty members of the College of Computer Engineering of IUST, the research activities and Ph.D. students of the college introduced to Prof. Koukam and the ways of cooperation were discussed.

In the final session that was held in the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation at IUST on June 3, the various ways of cooperation were discussed in the form of joint research activities among the faculty members of both universities, exchange of Ph.D. students for their research leave in the laboratories of each university, holding short courses, etc.
