Abstract

Today’s world economy situation forces enterprise organizations toward more soft and flexible organization, management, and production processes. They need to explore the most suitable Knowledge Management (KM) tool not only to identify gaps and overlaps but also to maintain and support innovation cross organizations. In this study, a multiple-experts-multiple-criteria decision making model is developed to select the most appropriate set of KM tools to support the innovation processes in organizations. Also, the model aims to suggest conditions for the improvement of KM in different types of knowledge-based inter-organizational collaborations. The application of the model is demonstrated by an illustrative example.

Abstract

Due to the multiplicity of standards and complex rules; maintenance, repair and servicing of machinery could be done only by the fully qualified and proficient experts. Since the knowledge of such experts is not available all times, using expert systems can help to improve the maintenance process. To address this need and the uncertainty of the maintenance process indicators, this research proposed a Fuzzy Expert Systems (FES) for decision making on the type of service. Since all indicators identified in the literature aren’t important adequately, more influential indicators in the service type selection are chosen using inferential statistical analysis firstly. Then, the fuzzy rules of the knowledge based were designed by these selected indicators. Finally, Inference engine has been designed based on Mamdani model to detect the service type of equipment. This research selected Shemsh Sazan Zanjan Company as a case study to implement the proposed expert system. According to our experiments, the proposed system increases the reliability by suggesting effective ideas that lead to decrease production line breakdowns. The main contribution of this paper is providing a new approach for designing maintenance dynamic FES based on Maintenance Indicators for service type selection that can decrease production line breakdowns.

Abstract

Optimal consumption is known as a nowadays concern which is related to scientific improvement, development of technology, product design, design and development based on standards, proper distribution of resources and, consequently, advancement in other less considered areas. Considering marketing, people are persuaded to purchase and consume the products throughout the gamification principles, even if this is more than the users’ needs. This cross-sectional study focused on consumption patterns and gamification. The main objectives of this research was to provide a modified pattern of purchasing and consuming bread through persuading the families. This study was done by simulated gamification patterns and assessment of participants’ feedback. The data was collected through literature review and interviews from a sample consisting of 25 students in the primary school. The results showed that gamification as a main factor was an appropriate stimulus for persuading purchasing and consumption behavior modification. However, the addition of mechanics in a relationship is not enough per se; reinforcement is required to enhance the quality of the perceived experience.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to analyze effect to perceived organization support, symbolic incentives meaning, and knowledge sharing quality on innovative work behavior at e-commerce in Indonesia. The number of samples in this research that was examined were 160 samples of business owner or manager who seller their product in e-commerce, originating from the provinces of Special Region Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java, and West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. We use purposive sampling technique for the data collection method. The result of this research indicate that perceived organization support has a significant positive effect on symbolic incentives meaning. Perceived organization support has a significant positive effect on knowledge sharing quality. Perceived organization support has a insignificant positive effect on innovative work behavior. Symbolic incentives meaning has a insignificant positive effect on innovative work behavior. Knowledge sharing quality has a insignificant positive effect on innovative work behavior.

Abstract

Venture capital (VC) financing is associated with the challenges of double-sided moral hazard, and uncertainty, which leads to the difficulty in estimating the venture's value accurately and consequently the impossibility of determining the optimal equity sharing between the entrepreneur and investor. Traditionally, convertible preferred equity mechanisms used to be implemented as an incentive to decline moral hazard. However, despite the emphasis on investor risk-taking, such mechanisms transfer the investor risk to the entrepreneur and do not mitigate the incentive of opportunistic behaviors. Furthermore, according to the literature review, and to the best of the authors’ knowledge, there has not been developed any practical mechanism for equity sharing in VC financing up to now. This paper proposes a fair equity sharing mechanism, which alleviates the above-mentioned deficiencies. It adjusts both parties' share during the equity dilution in each stage of financing, regarding the difference between the venture's ex-ante and ex-post values. Moreover, it manages uncertainty by applying staged financing and the option of abandonment at the end of each stage. The proposed mechanism has been verified by using the mathematical tools and drawing its curves for a case study.

Abstract

Product Service System (PSS) is a developing field of examination in in industry practices in todays’ global economy, which significantly affect both production and utilization of resources. In order to enable the applicability of a product service system in an industry. It is important to assess the system using a metrics SERVQUAL model, which characterizes the quality as difference between the customer’s expectation and perception. And a complex examination device intended to gauge quality by catching the hope affirmation worldview which proposes the customers saw nature of how well a given conveyance measures up to their assumptions of that conveyance. This study analysis the adoption of KMS approach, significantly enhances the employee’s knowledge on tangibility and reliability thus influences the customer’s perceptions and expectations of the quality. The findings of the study revealed that KMS approach served as a facilitated tool for sharing and utilizing knowledge in different organizations.

Abstract

Advances in the field of technology can be applied or utilized to streamline the production process, making it easier for producers to make a product. The existence of technological changes also affects the output produced by the home industry. Data collected using questionnaires then analyzed. This study aims to identify the role of technology adoption using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) analysis in home industries. This type of research is quantitative approach research with positivistic methods and associative descriptive approaches. The sample in this study was home industry owners totaling 168 people obtained by incidental sampling technique. The results showed that perceived useful, perceived case of use, attitude and intention factors affect actual system use in the form of technology adoption in the home industry.

Abstract

This research study was conducted to determine the effect of knowledge management strategies (knowledge creation, knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application) on green innovation practices. The instrument adapted from the previous study was distributed among employees in Public Sector. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling. A total of 256 data have been successfully collected and analyzed. The finding of this study indicates knowledge management strategies which are knowledge creation, knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application have a positive and significant influence on green innovation practices, where the knowledge sharing factor is the most influential factor that affects green innovation practices.
