Highlights
- The solid polymer electrolyte films for Pure PVB and 70PVB+30NaNO3+wt%Fe2O3 were prepared using a solution casting technique.
- XRD, FTIR, and SEM are used for amorphousness, complex formation, and surface morphology studies of polymer electrolytes.
- PVB+NaNO3+Fe2O3 (70:30:3%) film exhibits the highest conductivity (2.51×10−5 S cm-1).
- Wagner’s polarization technique, can be employed to measure the ionic and electronic transport numbers of all prepared samples.
- The Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) of 2.0V and a Short Circuit Current (SCC) of 0.8 mA were found in the discharge characteristics data for the cell constructed with the polymer electrolyte sample.
