It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Professor Markar Grigorian, a distinguished member of the editorial board for both the “Asian Journal of Civil Engineering” and the “International Journal of Optimization in Civil Engineering.” Professor Grigorian’s pioneering work on the plastic analysis and design of grid structures has made valuable contributions to the field of civil engineering. Professor Grigorian graduated from the University of Cambridge in the UK and was one of the pioneers in plastic analysis and design.
Beyond his role as a reviewer, Professor Grigorian’s own scholarly contributions were substantial and impactful. His absence leaves a void in our engineering community. We mourn the loss of a remarkable structural designer and colleague. May he find eternal peace, and may his soul be blessed by God. |
