Crucial Responsibilities of the Central Library In order to comply with global standards, recently special attention was paid to the development of the physical and conceptual structure of the central library. With an increase in school majors, levels, and development of research activities in all fields, it is crucial to provide the library with the necessary accommodations. The following are well established plans: 1- Reconstructing the physical appearance of the central library in 2001, and opening a storage section where students can have direct access to the resources. 2- Establishing new sections according to the updated needs of the users, such as a scanner section for digital resources, IT, laboratory, and an audiovisual laboratory. 3- Reconstructing the physical appearance of the central library according to the above mentioned factors, and hiring human resources for the predetermined framework 4- Establishing a computer site, and an online information bank 5- Heading towards the establishment of an electronic library 6- Providing comprehensive software that enable sub-libraries to connect with the central library, allowing for the possibility of an electronic virtual membership. . Crucial Responsibilities of the Computer Section Maintenance and supervision on the installation of all software and hardware systems throughout the university, under the following administrative process: The manager of the university service website ( http://service.iust.ac.ir ) has provided a fast and efficient process to connect with the users. The initial phase provides that experts respond immediately upon receiving a help message through the web. If possible, experts attempt to fix the problem on the spot. In the second phase, the system will be examined again, and based on the type of the damage, the specific piece will be repaired or replaced. Last, the system will be rendered to the department. All systems are examined annually to determine the required replacements; systems no longer usable will be superseded.
