Transportation Research Institute

  

The development of societies and expansion of the existing problems in transportation field has outlined the necessity to pay more attention to applied research in this industry. Due to an increase in the qualitative and quantitative research activities in various fields and mode of transportation such as air, land, marine and rail, also the requirement to provide appropriate background and long term planning for optimal application of these activities. The proposal for establishment of Transportation Research Institute was presented to government.

 After the preparation of statutory and the confirmation of the Ministry of Science Research and Technology (MSRT), the Transportation Research Institute was formally established and officially started its activities in 2003 by employing the specialized and competent Academic Board Members.
