Laser Based Measurement lab

Laser measurement techniques are becoming more commonly applied to many areas. Lasers can be used in various ways to measure many parameters such as: distances (or displacements), velocity, temperature, particles size and concentration, and so on.

Using some techniques such as interferometry, time of flight measurement, shadowgraphy, and knife edge, performing some other measurements are feasible. For example, Laser Doppler Velocimetry(LDV) has been interested for many applications. Using 350 multiline Ar Ion laser as well as high power He-Ne laser beams, we can measure the fluid velocity profile of fluid across a channel. Dimension measurement, particle size measurement, laser based surface testing, laser based optical testing, remote sensing, etc are some other of our interests.
